Childhood friends Jimmy, Sean and Dave reunite after the murder of Jimmy's daughter, Sean is the detective handling the case. The first suspect in the murder is Dave because back when they were kids he was kidnapped and was sexually abused but eventually escaped. Sean and Jimmy could not prove that Dave is the culprit but Jimmy vows to find the killer before the cops do. Will Jimmy seek redemption through finding and killing the killer?

unconscious man (Matt Damon) is discovered ashore in the Mediterranean Sea. He is nursed back to consciousness by fishermen, but he does not remember who he is, why he's there and more. He and a friend Marie try to pick up the pieces and discovers that he is carrying fake passports, has access to a Swiss account and has the innate skill to kill. He also discovers that he is being hunted down for something but for what?
