Set in the year 2035 where robots have almost been perfected and are living alongside humans, Detective Del Spooner is trying to investigate a murder of a Doctor who revolutionized these robots. The reports say that the cause of death is suicide but Spooner thinks otherwise. He suspects that the doctors' death has something to do with his creations and that these robots are more than robots but they can feel and think for themselves. unconscious man (Matt Damon) is discovered ashore in the Mediterranean Sea. He is nursed back to consciousness by fishermen, but he does not remember who he is, why he's there and more. He and a friend Marie try to pick up the pieces and discovers that he is carrying fake passports, has access to a Swiss account and has the innate skill to kill. He also discovers that he is being hunted down for something but for what?
